Hi, I’m Lynda West, owner and primary maker at Ten Mile Soap.
I’ve always been busy learning and doing. For the past ten years, I’ve been learning about making beautiful and functional art through soap and other bath and home products. My studio is on my farm in Southwest Pennsylvania.
I believe a well-crafted bar of soap should be as lovely to look at as it is functional. It should be skin and spirit nourishing and be a pleasure to use. As our lives are increasingly busy and stressful, I want you to be able to relax, even for just a moment while washing your hands. I want your shower or bath to be a time to recharge through luxurious lather and wonderful scents.

I believe if each of us does our part to be good stewards of our environment we can make a difference. For me, this includes minimizing single use plastics, disposable utensils and supplies, and electrical power consumption.
I believe ingredients should come from responsible sources and vendors who are careful stewards of both the human and natural environment.
I believe that every effort should be made to utilize organic and natural ingredients.
